Images: New Deadpool 2 Poster Depicts Deadpool And Cable In Classic Sistine Chapel Painting



This is a new poster for Deadpool 2. The poster shows a retelling of the best known from the famous Sistine Chapel ceiling painting, which was painted by Michelangelo between 1508 and 1512. Located in the Vatican, there are nine scenes from the Book of Genesis depicted on the ceiling, with The Creation Of Adam being the best known. The hands of Adam and God touching have been reproduced and parodied countless times and now it’s Deadpool’s turn, as Deadpool and Cable reimagine the classic scene. This time Cable represents God and is coming through a time portal, giving life to the first man Deadpool.

The sequel was written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, directed by David Leitch, and stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Josh Brolin as Cable, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Jack Kesy (The Strain, Baywatch), Shioli Kutsuna, Julian Dennison (Hunt for the Wilderpeople), Leslie Uggams, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, T.J. Miller, and Stefan Kapicic. It is scheduled to be released on June 1, 2018. Check out the synopsis and poster  below.
