Rumor Mill: Ben Affleck Was Approached To Direct Flashpoint - New Directors Announced

It seems like every week there's something new coming out of the DC camp that revolves around Ben Affleck and this expanded universe. We just want his Batman solidified in the franchise.

Apparently, the actor/director was approached by Warner Bros. to helm the upcoming Flashpoint movie but decided to not take on the project. With his future potentially in flux with his iteration of Batman, it's no shock that he chose to not direct the feature film that will focus primarily on Ezra Miller's Flash. This little bit of new was posted to Twitter via Tracking Board's Jeff Sneider.

With this little bit of news also comes the announcement of the two new people brought on board to direct the feature. The scribes behind Spider-Man Homecoming are now set to take on the movie. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are now attached to the latest DC film, with a supposed release aiming for 2020.
