News: Logan’s Run To Be Rebooted




Warner Bros. is set to adapt the dystopian story Logan’s Run. First reported by Deadline, written by Peter Craig and directed by Simon Kinberg. Logan’s Run, based on William F. Noland and George Clayton Johnson’s novel, was originally released in 1976, was written by David Zelag Goodman and directed by Michael Anderson. It was produced by MGM and starred Michael York and Farrah Fawcett. It also had a short television series run in 1977 starring Gregory Harrison and Heather Menzies. 

 Logan’s Run takes place in a utopian society in the future where the population and consumption of resources are maintained by killing people when they reach 30. It follows Logan 5, a ‘Sandman’ killer who runs off with a girl after he is set to face death himself. 

 It’s believed that the remake could feature a female lead, as Craig who wrote The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2. His other credits include The Town, M A Bennet’s young adult novel S.T.A.G.S, and Top Gun 2: Maverick. Kinberg’s credits include the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and producing Deadpool, The Martian and Logan
