Today is the 30th anniversary of the cult classic fantasy adventure Willow, which first premiered in theaters on May 20, 1988. Lucasfilm was planning an animated series as well, but it ultimately ended up not happening. It was most likely due to the film's subpar performance at the box office. Some of the characters from the movie include Willow, Madmartigan, Sorsha, the Brownies, and an older Elora Danan. There's also a dragon and some new villain designs.
