Universal Pictures will release the supernatural horror film The Turning on February 22, 2019. Stranger Things and IT actor Finn Wolfhard will star in the haunted house film, which is being adapted from Henry James’s novella The Turn of the Screw. It is being directed by Floria Sigismondi (The Runaways), who has directed many music videos and a series of horror short films for The New York Times Magazine.
It also stars Mackenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire). Written by Chad and Carey Hayes (House of Wax, The Conjuring 2, The Conjuring 2, and The Crucifixion), the film is being produced by Scott Bernstein and Roy Lee. The synopsis is below.
“In the film, a young woman hired as the nanny to two orphans is convinced that the country mansion they live in is haunted. Wolfhard will play one of the orphans.”
