Will Patton, Alicia Sanz, and Adan Canto, and Zach Avery are set to star in a currently untitled horror film from Chernobyl Diaries director Brad Parker. Written by by Eric Scherbarth and Stefan Jaworsk, the film will begin shooting in Kentucky next month. Jaworski and Chinaza Uchi complete the main cast.
Julio and Diego Hallivis are producing and financing the pic via 1inMM Productions. Alejandro De Leon and Andres Rosende are also producing along with Jared Ian Goldman serving as an executive producer.
The plot deals with a geological expedition to research an Appalachian sinkhole that ends up becoming a fight for survival against a mysterious deadly force.
Sanz's credits include the sci-fi thriller Perfect, #REALITYHIGH, and upcoming film Billionaire Boys Club. Canto currently stars in ABC’s Designated Survivor, and also appeared in X-Men: Days of Future past, and Narcos. Avery recently completed filming on Hell Is Where The Home Is, The White Crow, and You're Not Alone.
Veteran TV and film actor Patton is known for films like Remember the Titans, Armageddon, and The Postman. Some of his recent appearances include Shots Fired, Falling Skies, American Honey and Megan Leavey.
