After conservative bloggers brought to light old controversial tweets from James Gunn with jokes about pedophilia and rape Disney has decided to fire Gunn from the latest installment of Guardians of the Galaxy.
Statement by Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn:
"The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James' Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio's values, and we have severed our business relationship with him."
The film was to begin shooting this fall.
