Horror News: A Quiet Place Sequel Gets A Release Date

John Krasinski's horror thriller A Quiet Place proved to be quite the hit this last spring. On a meager budget, the film went on to gross $188 million domestically and also racked up another $144 million on the international market. It was no doubt that Paramount would be eager to launch a sequel for the film that was critically successful as well as a financial success for the studio and its creators.

Kraskinski directed and wrote the original. He also starred alongside his wife Emily Blunt. The story told of an isolated family that lives in the rural countryside as they're hunted by creatures that use an amplified sense of sound. He's currently developing the script for the second with no details released on where the story will go this time.

The official release date is now May 15, 2020.
