Fans have been extremely anxious for the latest Halloween outing. The new sequel is a total retcon that abandons everything that came after part one. Gone is the story line about Laurie and Michael being siblings as Jamie Lee Curtis once again returns to do formative battle with the masked serial killer. If this idea is successful, we might be seeing this trend continue with other popular franchises that went to pot after their first or second entries.
