After years of Stephen King properties getting dire treatments, it seems like the writer is finally getting the proper live action respect he deserves. From this year's box office hit retelling of IT to the upcoming remake of Pet Semetary to the couple Netflix movies that were based on his stories now to the Hulu hit Castle Rock, King is back on top of the media hill. And it looks like that's going to continue. This morning it was announced that Castle Rock is officially getting a season two on the streaming platform.
Hulu's head of content Craig Erwich told Variety that season two will be "wholly original", spawning a brand new story for next year. Hulu also appears to be building a library of King content. "We have the ability to create a whole Stephen King experience", he said. They released the original televised IT movie right before Castle Rock's premiere episode.
