The latest news about Tarantino's Once Upon a Time In Hollywood is that actor Bruce Dern has officially joined the cast. The iconic character player will be replacing Burt Reynolds in the 1969 based film that centers on the time around the Manson murders. Prior to his death, Reynolds was to play George Spahn, a friend of the Manson family. In real life, Spahn allowed the Manson cult to live on his farm. Dern obviously brings years and years of dramatic experience with him as well as his amazing dynamic skill set.

Reynolds just recently died at 82 of heart failure, leaving behind years of great work and a catalog of classic roles. It's great to see that Tarantino has added another excellent actor to the film though, with a dream cast that features some of the best working today. It's said that the movie won't be a direct adaptation of the Manson murders but more so a time capsule of Hollywood during that era.
