Two of the best action films of the last decade were The Raid and The Raid 2. Breaking from the traditional mold, both movies set a new high mark for how ass kicking flicks should be made. With two successful entries behind him and a fan base that adores his work, director Gareth Evans now says the future is uncertain for a third movie and that it probably won't happen, sadly. Initially announced in January 2014, he had every intention of continuing the saga. Now, it's probably not going to happen.
When speaking with Slash Film about The Apostle, he had this to say:
"And the more time has gone on from that, the less interested I've been to go back there. What we did with The Raid 2, we kinda close that off nicely, so it didn't really appeal to me to jump back into that world again.”
