Next up on the remake turntable is the cult classic Night of the Comet! Roxanne Benjamin, director of Southbound, has signed on to direct and write a remake of this fan favorite for Orion Pictures.
It sounds like this won't exactly be a direct remake as the content is going to skew away from the horror comedy genre of the original, and veer straight into the horror-sci-fi territory. No casting or details have been released just yet, but this is promising to be an exciting flick for us 80's horror fans.
