Luca Guadagnino is busy prepping his next movie based on the Bob Dylan album, Blood on the Tracks. Working with the writer of the Fisher King, Richard LaGravenese, based off an idea by Rodrigo Teixeira, the film will "revolve around the central themes of Dylan's album, which included Tangled Up in Blue, Simple Twist of Fate and Shelter from the Storm.".
While we aren't sure what they are going for, it's an interesting concept to write a movie based off the stories of an album. I'm not sure where this will go, but it is apparently the dream project of Rodrigo Teixeira, he has said, "Bringing this project to life is a dream to me. We worked for a very long time to find the right way into Bob Dylan's work and having collaborators such as Luca and Richard are an absolute privilege."
So, we'll have to wait and see what this all means, but if the early praise of Suspiria is any indication, it should be a movie to look out for.
