Two things you've never heard together before are Nick Nolte and Star Wars. But it looks like the two are finally about to come together in the upcoming Disney+ streaming series, The Mandalorian. Penned by Jon Favreau with multiple people signing on to direct, the dramatic actor will be joining Pedro Pascal as a support player in the series. Set between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, not much else is known about the project as of yet other than some behind the scenes photos and some of the actors that will be filling the cast.

The first 10 episode season is already budgeted at $100 million. Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Deborah Chow and multiple others have already signed on to take over directorial duties. This will be the first live action series based on Star Wars. With no official launch date, the series will most likely hit sometime in 2019.
