News: Deadwood Movie Starts Production

After years of discussion and fan speculation, HBO's production of the continuation of Deadwood is finally underway. The movie will extend the story from David Milch's Emmy Award winning television series. The film was written by Milch himself with Daniel Minahan taking over directorial duties and will feature many of the original stars from the original show. The movie is said to be a ten years later story that will see the characters reuniting for a celebration when South Dakota receives statehood. Once again, all hell will break loose and old wounds will be opened.

Ian McShane, Timothy Olyphant, Molly Parker, Brad Dourif, John Hawkes, Kim Dickens and several others will be back in their respective roles for the movie continuation. The inhabitants of Deadwood have been missing since 2006. After a long 12 year absence, fans of the series and Westerns in general will finally get what they've wanted: Ian McShane calling everyone c***sucker.
