Box Office Hero: Aquaman To Rake in $70 Million Plus This Weekend

After a rough time of it with Justice League, it looks like Warner Bros. and DC have finally found some peace in their cinematic world. This weekend's release of the live action Aquaman movie is finally putting them back on course for righting the critical and box office failures of some of their previous projects. The holiday release of their newest addition to the DCEU is seeing a great return that is going to net them more than a bunch of fish. Nope. They're looking at a weekend haul of $70 million or potentially a bit more. Released in 4125 domestic theaters, the latest comic book hero transition to screen is a sure fire hit for the studio.

Currently, the film's estimated global take up to this point is $350 million internationally with $18.5 million from Friday screenings in the U.S. alone. With a budget of $200 million, the film will nearly double its costs by the beginning of the holiday week. I guess we can say it. Aquaman is the box office hero we need right now.
