Disney is hard at work coming up with new movies for their upcoming launch of the streaming service that was announced this year. With numerous Star Wars shows in the works, more Marvel properties being adapted for the small screen, and a huge library of films to bring over, it looks like they're also getting into the sequel business. That's right. Disney+ will be producing a new sequel to the Sister Act movies. No word has been announced if Whoopi Goldberg will be coming back to star again, but they're actively pursuing the project.
The first sequel came out in 1993, Sister Act: Back in the Habit and it even spawned a Broadway show. Missing from the pop culture medium for years, Disney will be adding a third movie to the series. Hold on for further news on this one.
