Another day. Another casting announcement.
This latest incarnation of Dune by science fiction master director Denis Villeneuve is growing by the day with a wonderful cast of excellent character actors and a who's who list of big name stars. With word breaking just a few days ago that Jason Momoa had now signed on to star in a fairly large role, the movie continues to grow with even more dramatic flair and an actor that has a real creep factor. That's right. Actor David Dastmalchian (Ant-Man and The Wasp, Prisoners, Blade Runner 2049) has now picked up a part in the latest telling of the Dune story.
The actor will portray Piter De Vries, a human that is trained to task computers against his mental wit. Each day, this movie seems to continue its build up toward being a huge hit for Legendary. Hopefully, they get it right this time around. If anyone can do it, Villeneuve can.
