Horror News: James Wan and Gary Dauberman To Remake Salem's Lot

The last several years have seen Stephen King's works once again become a hot commodity. With the re-imagining of IT becoming a major box office draw and Pet Sematary doing fair business, the writer's creations are making serious headway on Netflix, in cinemas, and many other venues. Now, it looks like another evil story of his is going to get the full treatment from James Wan and Gary Dauberman are sinking their teeth into a new version of Salem's Lot. While some fans might not be happy with this idea, it's currently the way of the world. Whether we like it or not, every classic horror movie will eventually see some type of do over.

There is no word yet as to who will direct the project as it's in the early stages, but it looks like they're making the hard press to get this one made. The property has already had several iterations including the original mini-series, a 1987 sequel, and another televised version starring Rob Lowe in 2004. Who knows? Maybe this will be the best version yet. Either way, we're holding out hope for another great King adaptation.
