Trek News: Tarantino's Star Trek Script is Complete

Every once in a while there will be a new rumbling about the much discussed Tarantino Star Trek film. Initially, but unofficially, the movie was first propositioned in 2017, giving fans hope that there would be another potential Star Trek in the cards sometime in the near future. Then things went quiet. But, here and there, we'd see reports that the movie was still happening, with Zachary Quinto even stating that the film was on the horizon and would feature the reboot cast in another movie in the Kelvin Timeline. Still, nothing ever came of the project. Now, word has hit the internet that Tarantino says the project may still be very much alive.

When speaking with SlashFilm, the director says that the script is officially complete. What this means in the grand scheme of things remains to be seen. He says that his Star Trek is still a "very big" possibility, indicating that some motion could be made after he's completed all work on Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. Obviously, contract negotiations are what held up the fourth entry in the JJ Abrams rebooted universe, but Tarantino thinks that may still work out also. We shall see.
