4K News: Rambo (2008) Comes Home On September 3rd

Up to this point, all the Rambo movies including First Blood, First Blood 2, and Rambo III have all been released for home viewing in the 4K format. Now, Lionsgate has announced that they will be releasing 2008's Rambo on September 3rd. The film was a violent return for the character of John Rambo and is potentially the second best in the entire series. With Last Blood right around the corner, it's rather cool that they've decided to complete the current collection with this newly formatted disc.

Synopsis: The ultimate American action hero returns – with a vengeance! After spending several years in northern Thailand operating a longboat on the Salween River, John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) reluctantly agrees to carry a group of Christian missionaries into war-torn Burma. But when the aid workers are captured by ruthless Nationalist Army soldiers, Rambo leads a group of battle-scarred, combat-hardened mercenaries on an epic, last-ditch mission to rescue the prisoners – at all costs.
