Comic News: Legendary Graphic Novelist Alan Moore Officially Set to Retire

Alan Moore is probably the first name to come up in conversations when talking about comic books. He revolutionized graphic novels as an art form starting back in the 80's with his landmark comic book Watchmen, which Time listed as one of the 100 Best English Language Novels Since 1923. He also created V for Vendetta, From Hell, Batman: The Killing Joke... yeah, if you know the first thing about comic books, you probably know who Alan Moore is.

Moore famously stated that he would be going into retirement after publishing The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol. IV: The Tempest. With that issue finally being released this week, it seems that promise is all but being confirmed. He hasn't made any statement on what his next plans for his future will be (maybe a movie all of his own?), but whatever he chooses to go into- whether another project or just full on retirement, we wish him all the best of luck.
