The Visitors Are Not Our Friends: Warner Archive Collection to Release V: The Original Mini-Series on Blu-Ray

The '80s were a different time for television. And one of the most spectacular events to hit the airwaves was the original V: The Mini-Series. In the show, the Earth is taken over by a ruling class of aliens that have a dire plot in store for humankind. Echoing many themes of World War 2 and playing to the red scare of that decade, the show was a massive hit for NBC when it first aired. It went on to spawn a second mini-series, V: The Final Battle and then a short lived weekly program that went downhill quickly. Later on, it would be rebooted as a new show that rode the coattails of the very popular Lost. Now, it's been announced that Warner Archive will be releasing the show in a brand new blu-ray set. This was one of my favorite shows growing up. I'll definitely be picking this up!
