While many fans (not all) are still unsure about the future of Star Wars and while the internet is still at war over The Last Jedi, it seems that Disney is readying another film in their expanding galaxy. Despite past statements that they were going to slow down with the cinematic releases, it looks like they're moving full steam ahead with another movie. Currently, there are two other theatrical Star Wars projects underway. Tonight, The Hollywood Reporter has divulged that Kevin Feige is working hand in hand with Kathleen Kennedy to mastermind another new film for Disney and their Lucasfilm brand. Chief creative officer Alan Horn had this to say:
“We are excited about the projects Kathy and the Lucasfilm team are working on, not only in terms of Star Wars but also Indiana Jones and reaching into other parts of the company including Children of Blood and Bone with Emma Watts and Fox. With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy is pursuing a new era in Star Wars storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together.”
Further notes report that Feige has been speaking to an undisclosed major Hollywood star to be the lead in the film. There were no details on when this film might hit theaters as they have their hands full at the moment. But, it seems that Star Wars is really not slowing down.
