A Modern Horror Maestro: Jordan Peele Inks 5 Year Deal with Universal



Over the course of the last few years, Jordan Peele has become quite the commodity in Hollywood. Today, it was announced that the director/producer/actor has signed an exclusive 5 year deal with Universal Pictures. Under the new contract, Universal will get first look rights to any upcoming projects he's developing. They'll also be releasing the next two motion pictures that Peele is currently working on. He will also serve as producer on those features. 

After the release of Get Out, Peele became a household name with his modern horror hit. Two years later, he would put out US which went on to become one of the highest grossing genre films of the year. Currently, his Monkeypaw Productions is working on the upcoming Candyman film and is the narrator on the latest version of the Twilight Zone. Monkeypaw is also working hand in hand with Amazon to develop streaming shows and is also helping with Lovecraft Country for HBO.

Universal Filmed Entertainment Chairman Donna Langley had this to say:
