It's that time again where we finally have a piece of news that isn't about something getting delayed by the Covid-19 crisis. While everything else is starting to reopen, studios are developing and looking into whatever they can make. Yep, these stories will keep happening as the world returns to normal. It's always a good day when there is a new Cronenberg movie on the way!

Alexander Skarsgard has officially signed on to be apart of director Brandon Cronenberg's latest film, Infinity Pool. According to the film's logline, Infinity Pool is the story of James and Em. "They are young, rich, in love, and on vacation at an all-inclusive resort replete with island tours and gleaming beaches. However, outside the hotel gates something dangerous and seductive awaits." Sounds like a premise with a lot of potential for some premium Cronenberg weirdness.

American indie distributor Neon and Topic Studios will co-finance and serve as executive producers on the project. Genre fans may remember that Neon distributed Cronenberg’s Possessor in the US last year. Principal photography is set to begin on September 6th. Infinity Pool is not the only Cronenberg film that Neon is producing this year. Neon will also produce and release the next film from Brandon's father, David. That film is also scheduled to shoot this summer and is currently titled Crimes of the Future. Film fans will have a lot of Cronenberg to look forward to in the coming future.
