Daniel Radcliffe has agreed to star in the action comedy Guns Akimbo, from Deathgasm writer-director Jason Lei Howden. Altitude Films and Occupant Entertainment are producing the feature, with Joe Neurauter and Felipe Marino serving as producers for Occupant. The executive producers are Michael Mailis from Hyperion Entertainment and Will Clarke and Andy Mayson from Altitude. The film is currently in pre-production and is set to be introduced to buyers at Cannes. Radcliffe will play Miles, a regular guy who finds himself being forced to fight in a gladiator style battle that is streamed online for viewers. He must take on a heavily armed character named Nix and save his kidnapped girlfriend. Neurater said that:

Radcliffe has taken some unique and daring roles since leaving behind the Harry Potter film franchise. This sounds no different. The combination of him and Jason Lei Howden is definitely something to anticipate and look forward to.
