It's that time again where we finally have a piece of news that isn't about something getting delayed by the Covid-19 crisis. While everything else is slowly starting to reopen, studios are developing and looking into whatever they can make when things get back to normal again. Yep, these stories will keep happening as the world tries to return to normal. This time, it is about Jake Gyllenhaal making money moves in Hollywood.

After producing a couple vehicles for himself, it appears that Jake wants to get into the film production business. Gyllenhaal's production company Nine Stories has just signed a first look deal with New Republic Pictures. Jake has worked with the founders of New Republic on films like Zodiac and Everest and this seems like the logical next step in their relationship.

This is the second deal of it's kind in recent weeks for New Republic. They have also recently signed a first look deal with Cate Blanchett's Dirty Films as well. Yes, Cate Blanchett's company is called Dirty Films. That really is the name.  New Republic Pictures was established in 2017 and was involved in the production of 1917 and Rocketman. With these two deals, we imagine that you are going to hear the name New Republic a lot very soon.
