Chaos In The Corridors: The Dystopian Snowpiercer Receives Early Season 3 Renewal from TNT

The jump from movie to television has proven to be successful for Snowpiercer. That is typically not the case. Most films that are translated to the smaller screen end up abandoned by their viewership and cancelled long before they get a chance to prove themselves worthy. Well, amazingly enough, the futuristic action drama about a train transporting the last remnants of human civilization has proven to be a major hit for TNT. Initially a graphic novel that was turned into a film, the idea was moved to television and has definitely drummed up a big enough audience. The cable outlet has officially gone ahead and placed a season 3 order for Snowpiercer prior to its season 2 premiere on January 25th, 2021.

The original French graphic novel was published nearly 30 years ago and was turned into a movie back in 2013 that starred Chris Evans and Jamie Bell. It built a large cult following and was finally made into a TV series that premiered in 2020. The show stars Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs. With original science fiction often hard to come by on the cable mainstays, the series has gone on to definite success. Typically a new season will be approved during the current slate of episodes. TNT has decided not to wait and is ready to forge ahead with more chapters.

This is great news for genre fans and those of us that love this series!
