The John Wick series always seems to have something new in store for its fans. After three action loaded vehicles, the franchise is moving ahead with a fourth entry which will bring back Keanu Reeves in the iconic role. The movies have been a constant string of hits for the studio and will most likely spawn several more films before bowing out. Interweaving action and an amazing underground that's packed with assassins and gun play, people continue to flock to cinemas to see what's happening in the world of Wick. While we knew there was going to be another movie, there was no real idea of when they'd get started filming. Now, actor Ian McShane says he'd expect to be filming with Reeves sometime this year.

When speaking with Collider, he didn't specify any date, but says the plan is to get John Wick 4 filming despite the pandemic. Obviously, things were delayed on the getting the project in front of cameras. But now, it looks as though they might start sometime in 2021:

"Keanu [Reeves] and I exchanged New Year’s greetings and said, 'Hope to see you this year.' I know the script is being written and they’re hoping to do it this year. I know they announced they were gonna do John Wick 4 and John Wick 5 together, but who knows. The studios announce all sorts of things. No doubt, at some point this year, we’re gonna do John Wick 4."

Initially the movie was meant to premiere in May 2021, but has been pushed a full year to May 2022. We'll update as we hear more.
