He Has The High Ground: Disney+ Obi Wan Series Has Officially Wrapped Production

The Star Wars galaxy continues to expand on Disney+. With the upcoming Book of Boba Fett, the third season of The Mandalorian and more on the way, Ewan McGregor has let fans know that the Obi-Wan Kenobi event series has officially wrapped production. The new limited run will take place between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, expanding on the years Kenobi spent on Tatooine. McGregor was more than excited to get back into the role and for years continued to show interest in coming back Star Wars.

After winning an Emmy Award for his role in the Netflix series Halston, McGregor gave an update about the upcoming show. With five months of production work behind them, filming has wrapped and will head into post.

“We finished shooting our series, and it was really, really good fun,” McGregor said when speaking with Deadline. “I really enjoyed working with Deborah Chow, and I think it will not disappoint. The new technology that we employed doing it is cool, and it was a different experience than making the original three films that I did.”
