Film On TV: Too Big To Fail

As a fan of Curtis Hanson, I decided to give Too Big To Fail a shot. It's the tale of our country's economic downturn and the bailouts the government provided for the scum bag bankers that have created so much turmoil. This movie does a good job at outlining the proceedings but fails at ever determining whether they're really bad people or just misled individuals that let corporate corruption pave the way. This is where this movie fails. I really wanted an inside look at these people. Unfortunately, all we get is a procedural type drama with some good performances that ultimately fail the test. The sad part is that the viewer is left with the impression that Paulson was a hero in this mess. See it if you want but personally I thought this was one of HBO's worst.
