M. Night Shyamalan is back in a big way. After a few years of sidestepping his typical mysterious fare and working on big budget blockbusters, he's officially making verifiable hits again that call back to his earlier films like Signs, The Sixth Sense, and Unbreakable. With his Split grossing $40 million over its opening weekend, it's really not surprising that he wants to continue that story....and soon.
Without spoiling anything, this latest film is probably his best work since Signs and exists in a universe where previous Shyamalan characters will definitely be making a return. With the story arc of Kevin and his multitude of personalities still open ended, this will most likely be a trilogy of films.
We cannot wait. If you haven't seen Split yet, what are you waiting for?
