Joss Whedon fans can rejoice as he is nearing a deal to write, direct, and produce a standalone Batgirl film for Warner Bros. Originally reported by Variety, the only other people currently attached to he project are Toby Emmerich, Jon Berg, and Geoff Johns. For some Marvel fans this may be sad news, as they were hoping that he would jump back into that universe. Other Whedon and DC fans are ecstatic, as this is the perfect female-centric project for the filmmaker.
