MARVEL VS. CAPCOM: INFINITE (Capcom – PS4, Xbox One, PC – September 19, 2017) – This upcoming fighting title was first announced back in January, and was originally set to debut Mega Man, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, and Ryu. But several more characters have also been added to the list, such as: Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Chun-Li, Strider, and Rocket Racoon. Two additional rosters have also been reportedly leaked introducing a wave of new characters. The first one was said to introduce Ant-Man, Black Panther, and Jadah from Darkstalkers. Now, it seems as if another one has made its way through the Reddit pages, bringing both X-Men and the Fantastic Four to the game. According to Reddit user, Rikurikumore, there will also be plans for seasonal DLC content to come in packs.
The story follows the alliance made between Ultron and Sigma. The two use the Infinity Stones to create one being, “Ultron Sigma”, who merges Marvel and Capcom into a single dimension; which they seek to rule. It’s in unifying these two universes that the Infinity Stones become available for both heroes and villains in battle. Capcom is, apparently, introducing these Stones as abilities for players as well. This will give players the opportunity to have more creative freedom with their combos and other strategies. Oh, about E3? We definitely think there’s a possibility we’ll see something–hell, play something; that said, we’re hoping to see more on the story.
