Movie Sleuth Gaming News: Nintendo Announces SNES Classic and Release Date


After the epic sales of their release of a classic NES system, Nintendo is back at it with another retro system ready to hit the market. Their SNES Classic is currently being prepped for a release this fall. It's currently slated to hit store shelves on September 29th just in time for the early bird Christmas shoppers. The system will include two controllers and will have 21 games preloaded.




Keeping the retail price at a low $80, this thing is going to sell out quickly. Much like their last system, gamers are already chomping at the bit to get their hands on this machine. As of today, these are the games that will be included:

  • Final Fantasy III
  • F-ZERO
  • Kirby Super Star
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

  • Star Fox
  • Star Fox 2
  • Street Fighter® II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
  • Super Castlevania IV
  • Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts®
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
  • Super Mario World
  • Super Metroid

  • Yoshi’s Island 

The system will also include an HDMI cable and the necessary power adapter.
