Videos: Amy Pascal Confirms Black Cat And Venom Movie Will Pass In The Same Universe Of Spider-Man: Homecoming

Things between Sony and Marvel regarding Spider-Man's role in the MCU and his connections with the upcoming Venom and Black Cat films are getting a little strange. Just last week, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had confirmed that Venom would not be part of the MCU and is solely a Sony Pictures project. During promotion for Spider-Man: Homecoming, Sony Pictures producer Amy Pascal just said something completely different, in that the upcoming Sony films will exist in the same universe as Spider-Man: Homecoming. You can watch the video below, as well as read what she said. What is funny is that Feige is also part of the interview and seems pretty surprised by her comments. She said:

"Both movies will all take place in the world that we’re now creating for Peter Parker. I mean, they’ll be adjuncts to it, there may be different locations, but it will still all be in the same world and they will be connected to each other."

She also said that there's always a chance that Tom Holland could appear in one or both films, saying that:

"There’s a chance... there’s always a chance."

So, either they are working on some type of deal behind the scenes, or Pascal is just trying to drum up fan interest in the future Sony films.
