Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Eon Productions previously announced that the 25th James Bond film will be released on November 8, 2019, now they are zeroing on a director. First reported by Variety, Yann Demange is the frontrunner to helm the next Bond installment. Demange is known for the IRA drama 71 starring Jack O'Connell and his upcoming crime drama White Boy Rick starring Matthew McConaughey. He would be replacing Sam Mendes, who directed Skyfall and Spectre. There is still no confirmation at this time regarding Daniel Craig's involvement, although it is believed that he will be returning as Bond. They are also seeking a studio to handle the marketing and distribution of the film, with Warner Bros., Fox, Sony, and Universal all vying for that role.
