News: Michael Bay’s Next Films To Be Robopocalypse & 6 Underground

Michael Bay’s next two films will be 6 Underground and Robopocalypse. 6 Underground is being produced by Skydance and comes from an original idea from writers and Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool).  Robopocalypse is based on the novel written by Daniel H. Wilson novel that Steven Spielberg once considered directing. Deadline first reported that Spielberg is in talks with Bay to direct the film. Spielberg previously selected Bay to direct Transformers.

In Robopocalypse, robots turn on humanity when a scientist A computer scientist accidentally unleashes a supremely intelligent sentient A.I. named Archos R-14. Archos becomes self-aware and immediately starts planning the elimination of humanity. At the Zero Hour, the robots attack and the human race is almost annihilated, but as its scattered remnants from around the world regroup, humanity looks to battle the robots.
