Below is a new photo for the Swedish troll love story Border, which was screened at Cannes. NEON acquired the North American rights a couple days ago at Cannes.
It was directed by Iranian-born Danish director Ali Abbasi, based on a short story by the author of Let the Right One In, John Ajvide Lindqvist, and the screenplay was written by Abbasi and Isabella Eklöf, in collaboration with Lindqvis. It stars Eva Melander, Eero Milonoff, Viktor Akerblom, Jorgen Thorsson, Andreas Kundler, and Joakim Olsson.
“Border tells the story of a border guard played by Eva Melander who has the ability to smell human emotions and catch smugglers. When she comes across a mysterious man with a smell that confounds her detection, she is forced to confront hugely disturbing insights about herself and humankind.”
