News: Cruel Summer Director's Next Project The Sci-Fi Horror 3 Days on Planet Earth





London-based SC Films is at Cannes selling the UK sci-fi horror 3 Days On Planet Earth. From Cruel Summer director Phillip Escott, the film begins with an alien spacecraft crash-landing on a remote farm in Wales, leaving the owner cut off from the world. She soon finds herself working with a mysterious MoD agent in order to try and save the planet.

  It was written by Nick Davies and Brett Davies. Casting is currently underway, with principal photography expected to begin in Wales this summer. It is eyeing a release date sometime in the first quarter of 2019.

Cruel Summer was written and directed by Phillip Escott and Craig Newman, and stars Danny Miller, Reece Douglas, and Natalie Martins star. Based on a horrifying true crime, the film premiered on VOD February 27th from Wild Eye Releasing.
