News: Guillermo del Toro Bringing Horror Anthology To Netflix





Guillermo del Toro is bringing the horror anthology Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight to Netflix, the streaming service’s first original horror anthology series. This will be his second collaboration with Netflix, his first being Trollhunters.

The series is described as a collection of the Oscar-winning filmmaker’s personally curated stories, described as both equally sophisticated and horrific.

del Toro created the series and will write and direct specific episodes. In addition, he will be hand picking the team of  horror writers and new filmmakers that will be involved. J. Miles Dale will produce, with Exile Entertainment’s Gary Ungar serving as executive producer.

Del Toro’s most recent feature length film The Shape of Water, was a box office and critical success, earning four Oscars this year, including Best Picture, Best Director for del Toro, Best Original Score and Best Production Design.

His previous films include The Devil’s Backbone (2001), and Pan’s Labyrinth (2006), Blade II (2002),  Hellboy (2004), Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008), and Pacific Rim (2013).
