Trailers: The Action Comedy Prepper

Global Digital Releasing is debuting the official trailer and poster for Prepper, set for digital release this Tuesday, May 8.

In the same vein as the television show, Doomsday PrepperPrepper follows James (played by actor Jay Bowdy in his final role) in the midst of his typical suburban life. He commutes to work, teaches school, goes to the gym, picks up the groceries, returns home, eats dinner with his wife and wakes up the next morning to do it all over again. Everything is as it should be, or is it? James begins to take note of the warning signs all around him that seem to point to impending doom and the collapse of society. He decides to prepare for the worst!

But there is just one problem - he has no idea where to start. Enlisting the help of his wife Sarah (Rachel Dee), James embarks on a quest to be ready for anything as they begin to stockpile: food, water, weapons, ammunition and medical supplies. This ultimately leads to a misguided attempt to learn how to shoot and an even more futile attempt to learn martial arts.

Prepper has been the recipient of multiple film festival awards. Awards include: winning Best Feature awards at the Boomtown Film and Music Festival (2017), Hollywood Independent Film Festival (2017) and Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase (2017). It was also an Official Selection at Los Angeles Cinefest, iHolly and the Lionshead Film Festival. Writer/Director Andrew Patterson says that this film is "a call for normal people to wake up and be ready.” And, action film fans can respond to Patterson’s call-to-arms this week!

The film will be released in North America and 50-plus additional countries. Digital platforms hosting the release include: Amazon Prime, iTunes, Tubi TV, Xbox, Google Play and iFlix. The global release will show in: the U.S., Canada, Belize, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Israel, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, the U.K., and Russia. Prepper will be available across the globe, this May 8th.
