Movie News: Terry Gilliam Loses Rights To The Man Who Killed Don Quixote

After years and years of toiling on The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, Terry Gilliam has been delivered a fatal blow to his passion project. He has lost the rights to his own movie. The Paris Court of Appeals has found that a former producer on the movie, Paulo Branco owns the film and says that Gilliam made the movie illegally considering he had no claim to the material. It's been found that the troubled movie belongs to Alfama Films and the Gilliam himself will have to pay financial damages to the production house.

Branco and Alfama are also seeking damages from all those involved in the movie including production staff, Kinology, and anyone that helped distribute the film for Cannes. As expected, the voyage of Don Quixote is not over. The legal entanglements could go on for years.
