News: AGFA To Distribute Theatrical Releases of Don Coscarelli Films, Phantasm, Bubba Ho-Tep and Others

AGFA The American Genre Film Archive (a non-profit) is in the works of re-releasing numerous cult films including Phantasm, Phantasm III, Phantasm IV, and Bubba Ho-Tep to theaters in partnership with Don Coscarelli. They will be putting restorations into movie houses beginning October 1st. They've done similar partnerships in the past with brands like Arrow Films, Severin Films, and of course Vinegar Syndrome.

AFGA theatrical sales rep Bret Berg had this to say:
“AGFA is super-proud to be the new theatrical home for Don’s most epic works. We grew up idolizing these unique horror visions full of surrealistic sci-fi, gothic horror and killer music; to breathe new life into the films is a dark dream fulfilled. Hats off to one of the most fiercely independent genre creators we know, one who’s influenced generations of filmmakers including more yet to come.”
