After the crazy ending of Infinity War, many were not sure about the future of the next Guardians movie and where it would take place in the timeline. Recently, Chris Pratt joked that it might exist before Marvel's latest movie. However, that is not the case. Director, James Gunn has once again confirmed that Volume 3 will take place after the galaxy changing events of Thanos' finger snap. This will be his third and supposedly final piece of the Guardians trilogy. Obviously, we know that can all change when the next one rakes in hundreds of millions of dollars.
Gunn responded via Twitter today that the third act will definitely be after Infinity War.
