Press: Imaginarium Agency Makes Their Local Debut at Michigan Comic Con





Imaginarium Agency makes their official Michigan Comic Convention debut the weekend of August 17-19, 2018 with the first ever Michigan Comic Con. Imaginarium is the agency behind several large comic book and pop culture conventions including Indiana Comic Con, Tampa Comic Con and San Francisco Comic Con. Michigan Comic Con will be held downtown Detroit at the Cobo Center and tickets are on sale currently. Tickets for the event range from $30-$40 for single day admission passes or $60 for a badge that allows you to attend the entire weekend. Branding itself as a family friendly convention, children under 12 are given free entry.
Michigan Comic Con has already secured an impressive guest list, particularly for a first year convention. Media guests include Princess Bride’s Cary Elwes, Star War’s Darth Maul actor, Ray Park, Deadpool fan favorite, actress Brianna Hildebrand as well as stars from Lord of the Rings, Firefly, Power Rangers and several popular Disney princess voice actors. Michigan Comic Con also boasts a plethora of writers and artists, comic and otherwise. Tim Jacobus, popular for all of the illustration work he did in R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps series will be attending as an artist guest among many other industry veteran creators. Cosplay superstar Yaya Yan will be in attendance, both for photo opportunities and autographs.  

Michigan Comic Con will be host to panels, events, exhibitors, creators and celebrities that cover every area of pop culture.  Whether one’s particular branch of geekdom is comics, anime, manga, cartoons, books, art or cosplay, there will certainly be plenty for each individual to see throughout the weekend.
