News from the Upside Down: Stranger Things Season 3 is Delayed Until 2019

Playing coy with an advertisement for a new mall opening in Hawkins, Indiana it turns out the the Duffer Brothers are still hard at work figuring out where exactly season 3 of Stranger Things will take us. It seems that the production staff at Netflix and the Duffers need more time to develop what's going to happen in the next chapter of the hugely popular streaming series.

Reported by EW earlier today, the news was confirmed at the Television Critics Association 2018 press tour. Netflix executive Cindy Holland gave a few brief words explaining the delay and that they truly care about the quality of the show, hence the wait:

“It's a handcrafted show. The Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy, they understand the stakes are high. They want to deliver something bigger and better than last year. I think it's going to be a fantastic season. It will be worth the wait.”
