Yes, folks. It's high time that every show that's ever been popular is rebooted in some way. After all, there are zero fresh ideas out there, right? Pardon the sarcasm, but it looks like another '80s sitcom is being given the reboot treatment. After their previous decision to bring back Murphy Brown on CBS for a limited 13 episode story arc, they're hot to get another one of their famous series back in front of cameras. Designing Women is being restored as a brand new show that will obviously focus on a new set of designer ladies as many of the original series cast have passed away. The potential does exist for cameos from the surviving stars.
Right now the show is being shopped, but the most likely home will be CBS considering it was their property to begin with and the show was a long running success for them.
